Did you get the two from top by the head, and the two from bottom by removing the oil pan?

I just finished putting my SR together this weekend, so it's fresh in my mind. Just drop the lower pan, and you will see two 12mm bolts directly under the timing cover, going through the upper oil pan. You can get it off without removing the upper oil pan, but I wouldn't recommend it.

If you leave the upper pan on, you'll develop oil leaks. The upper pan needs a total, unbroken seal to retain oil properly. The silicon will set with a crack for oil to seep through where the timing cover meets the already set oil pan/block seal.

You need to pull the head as well. You'll kink the front of the head gasket putting it back on. Ask me how I know

You can remove/reinstall without taking the head off. Just don't put the oil pump spacer on the crank. That'll give you the clearance to get the cover on without borking the head gasket extension. Then you just have to do some playing with the oil pump to get the spacer back in.

As for getting it off, there are some guide dowels that it could be stuck on. Usually I try to take a pry bar and split the gasket seal enough to work the pry bar up the side and walk it off the dowels. Just takes some patience.
