Squealing noise when making extreme sharp turns

My Qx56 makes this high squealing noise, when I apply gas to a very sharp turn. This only happens if I have the steering wheel turned all the way left/right, and i apply gas...or even when it's just rolling.

At first I assumed it was because of the size of the car....but doesnt anyone get this as well? Is this normal?

What kid of a sqeal does it sound like? It may just be the tires.

i dont think it's the tires. it just happens when i turn the steering wheel all the way, either left or right, and apply a bit of gas or roll a bit. it's like a high squeal, like something is causing the noise from the imbalance?

does ur qx56 do that?

I have an Armada. And no, i can't say i've heard a noise like that coming from mine. The only squeal mine gets is if i take a hard turn the tires will make a little noise but thats about it.

well thanks for replying...that might be the same noise..it's not loud, but i found it weird that it only happened with this car and not any other car i drove..

MY 2008 QX56 is doing the same damn thing!!! Did you ever find out what it was?

Could very well be the belt squealing on the pulley. At the far locks it puts more strain on the pump. Have you ever replaced your belt? It could be towards the end of it's tensioner stroke (and belt life).

I finally found it was the tires. After 3 years gone by, I recently changed my tires/rims to 20 inch stock (2008-2010 qx rims on cooper disoverer ht plus), and the noise has gone away. But i've now noticed a diff sound when on Auto or 4H. but that's another post.
