I replaced the pads last year so probably have abut 20K miles on them. I never had any squealing before. I thought squealing only occurred when you applied the brakes, not when you're accelerating.fueler wrote:my money says worn brake pads. How many miles do the pads have? Did you ever have a squealing before that mysteriously went away?
Pads have a wear indicator that makes noise, in an effort to scare people into bringing the car into a shop. The indicator eventually breaks off though, and then you should get new pads ASAP.
So I guess that would explain the squealing noise, which would explain the low brake fluid level, which would explain the parking brake light being on because of the low level. Thanks Adam, you rock bro!fueler wrote:nah when pads get low, they squeal when youre moving but the noise goes away when you press the brake...
if they're performance pads, they might be almost done at 20k miles
