Hey, I picked up a set of Sparco Torino seats from craigslist, did as much research as I possibly could, but very little info is out there on how to tell a fake Sparco from a real one. The quality seemed really good, the color, stitching, etc. But it has this little tag on the left hand side of each seat with a Certificate # which makes me think they are fake since the tag isn't on any pictures in google. Any help would be appreciated, and yes I searched my a** off before starting this thread.

I also included a picture of my ride

1992 HB, Q45 front brakes, 2.5" catback exhaust ($30!!!)

You should lower your car sometime it would look/handle much better, and you should take a picture of it on a sunny day after the morning dew dries and people arent huddling it with shadows and distractions.

Did you try searching the numbers listed on the tag to see if anything came up? Could try that or contacting sparco with a quick question? They look pretty real either way if it makes you feel better, but im not a good judge.

Definitely planning on lowering the car, next planned purchase is some Stance GR + Pro coil-overs and maybe getting a better camera than my Nikon Coolpix too. Or just taking a better picture of my car.

The Sparcos are the last interior mod I need to do, other than replacing the tweed on the door panels and glove box. I have some gray S14 seats in there now, but they don't match the black very well and have some burn spots from someone welding in a roll-cage with the seats still in. I am trying to keep this car as rice-free as possible, short of classic stuff.

Already done:Nardi Classic 3-spoke wheel (black)New black carpetCustom upholstered rear seats (black leather trim, black cloth center)6.5" speakers all around (rears were a total PITA, like 3-4 hours)

They have product number 00946 listed as Torino 2, Torino isnt listed i guess its dicontinued now, maybe the original Torino number was 00943 cause i google sparco 00943 and the torino 2 kept popping up. So it looks like the torino 2 is 00946 i cant find anything on the original torino.

Awesome Trouble, thanks for the help, that makes me feel much better. Wasn't a bad deal for $400 plus the rails should fetch me a little bit of cash. I might try and see if I can modify my stock rails to fit the seat.

Anyone else with Sparcos, did your seats come with the little tag in the picture?

Mine have a tag very similar to yours.

From the pics, they look real to me.

Good enough for me Today I am thankful for stupid people that don't know to do simple things like selling point comparisons before listing items on Craigslist.

Just ordered some seat rails from 240sxmotoring, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait.

Oh, and question of taste... Stock seat belts or harnesses? I figured since my car is mostly stock, no areo yet, and I haven't done an SR swap yet that harnesses will be over-kill for a daily driver. I don't want it to look stupid... Anyone have a thought on this?
