Well hello all..
Something weird happened out of nowhere.. Well actually the whole car is acting weird, but what do i expect now that i do have 296k miles.. Still oem motor and trans
Anywho, my issue is PARK LIGHTS /LAMPS STAYING ON..
I have my light switch in the off position, but yet its acting as if i have my park lights on.. So I'm having to disconnect the battery when i go to work, home, or anywhere. I looked for a fuse, i didn't see a label for park lights.
Also, the jerking that my car is doing wouldn't have anything to do with this would it?? What would cause them to just stay on like that???

Negative Houston!!!
The FSM in the "EL" section has nothing about park lamps. All they have is Headlamps. And the head lamps are hooked to fuses.. One for LH and one for RH. They are the regular 15A fuses.
I also checked the other small relay fuses type item. They had a clear plastic on the top of them so i could see that the link were still connected. I even unplugged em and plugged them back in, EXCEPT for the 100A and the 120A ones.. They seemed un-removable. They i unplugged some other relays that were bulky, some were blue, and 1 was brown. I guess there's no way for me to look and make sure they are okay, as there are just plugs.. So now im lost...
I guess tomorrow, ill reset my Viper 791xv , maybe that can do something, because the fuse and relay thing is not leading me anywhere yet!

Just a wild guess but pull out the brake lamp modules and see if there's any sign of bulb tips melting, socket damage or melted wires that could cause a short.

Having the aftermarket alarm system complicates tracing this issue,as most aftermarket alarms tie into your lighting system to flash your lights to indicate arming/disarming and also when the alarm is actually being triggered. If your system is like this, you got to consider the possibility of the problem stemming from the electronics/relays in the alarm system itself in addition to the factory stock electronics of the car.Keep studying the FSM.as there definitely is relays in addition to fuses controlling the lighting of the Q.....at least the headlamps

okay heres the deal.. When i unplug this, My park lights go off. BUT if i turn my switch to the on position, they work.. I dont know.. makes no sense but it works normal when i take the fuse out.. So i thought maybe the fuse was bad. But everytime i swap it for another fuse the park lights come on with the switch on the off position
So with the fuse off, i started the car and the big fan came on and was turning....
What is it hurting with the fuse off?
Whats the prob with it not being the relay fuse itself..??

The only other thought I have is a problem in the "lamp out" sensor in the trunk.
