The X this morning. Covered up again after taking it out last night!

Took it out for a trip around town.
Found a nice business park to do a little drifting in!

VDC off = in the parking lots, but cruising around town was nice to have it on.

Snow Dogs

And, this one isn't moving til the white stuff is gone!!!

No leaving the house for me anytime soon. RWD + open diff + summer tires. No telling if I'm making it to work Monday, only thing that's driven on the road if front of my house is a 4-wheel, no scrapping or anything yet.

6-7 inches for me.

Good amount of snow. My company actually shut down operations last night throughout much of the south that was getting the snow (from Cincinnati as far south as Shreveport, LA, and from Charlotte to Tulsa), which is a big move for us.

I actually find driving around town with VDC off easier personally, but I grew up learning how to drive with 250"-320" each winter. Now at cruising speed on highways and freeways, yeah, it's on.

My dog loves the snow and I couldn't be happier about it because I love snow. When there's enough around, he likes to run at you, go right by you and do a 180 in the snow to turn around and look at you.

Have fun, but be safe!

I woke up this morning and there were light flurries and I had an appointment in an hour. Got ready and headed out....roads were totally clear and there was nothing but light flurries coming down still....drove the 40 minutes to my parents house to get my mom and barely made it. It started coming down so hard that my car got stuck in their yard as I slid off the drive way just idling the car up a very light incline. Dad had to give me a ride home in their car since I have a flight in the morning. Won't see her again till march . Sad way to leave my baby.

Chris, sorry to hear about the G!
Leaving for a month on business? Must be a software pgmr?!
Yep, my coupe ain't going no where in this stuff!!!

Smockers, we didn't get that kind of snow growing up in Greensboro, but we did get ALOT more snow that what we get in CLT. And, I learned to drive in it in a 69 Mach 1. Also, our roads didn't get plowed, so you had to drive on snow packed ice.
Back then, we didn't have Ultra HP Tires! So, they were better in the snow/ice.

Bigge, you sure you don't want to practice your drift'n!? Looks like you got a couple inches more than we did. I think my bro in G'boro (near W. Market/Guilford College Rd) got 7 inches.

Just got back from the store. Roads are covered in a thick coat of ice!!!
Was snowing on the drive home!! The X did great!!!

zozo, was sooooo excited about driving in the Snow last night, didn't even have ONE beer all night!!!
Have to make up for that

My driveway is up a hill to the road, none of my cars are good for this. After I don't own my Pathfinder or Versa is when it snows alot. Have to clear the driive tomorrow and hope I can get out.

Rich,

Looks great. So happy you got some white stuff. Your front yard looks so different in winter.

You guys are lucky. They plow the snow here so often. ARG I have to look for a road what's not been cleaned.

I'm hoping to hit the slopes next Sunday again. Should be lot more snow there.

To catch up.

Telco I don't like green this time. I love white.... Snow is good..

I do like chicken soup.

Rich she's got some snow up there. You should visit her. That's a good excuse to get to drive in the snow with the X.

At least in Boone the can handle it, down here the 3 roads out to the main road haven't been scraped. G almost got stuck on the hill going out of my neighborhood, figure I'll try to go to work after 9 in the morning.

Once again, Memphis gets nothing but ice and freezing rain. My trees are all broken to pieces and some of them are bent over touching their toes. My yard looks like a war zone.

Some guys they just give up living
And start dying little by little, piece by piece
Some guys come home from work and wash up
And go racin' in the street.

We are now supposed to get some freezing rain overnight tonight now. That will suck, but supposed to change to just rain tomorrow. But possibly more snow/mix Friday night.

I made it to work, but slick as hell on the 3 roads that hadn't been scraped. Though my front lip/undertray were scrapping them a little due to the build up in the middle.

Saw a caddie go side ways last night on the way back from picking up some chinese takeout. He hit a patch of black ice. Was just starting to freeze over.
Was in the X

Sooooo, this AM, the coupe is still in the drive and I'm working from home.
Tested the S-Drive's out yesterday in the snow/ice and they DID NOT do well!!

unless they're studded, I dont think ANY tire would do well in ICE.
We got like 5 inches here in north VA. I've had some fun in the snow too

We got about a foot here in at school in Lynchburg...

My car is stuck so I'm going to have to get a shovel to bail it out.
It sucks...

It feels like back in the day when I had to depend on my mom/dad for rides everywhere.

I know deep down you love snow too just like Telco and Nate loves Furd.

Seems like god is on your side this year.

I only shoveled snow like 3-4 times this year. But you know the season is far from over.

Don't give up we'll see snow from mid February.

Rich, you inline for the next one this weekend?

We have rain/freezing rain right now and 32-33 degs. But calling on 3-5 inches more Thursday night, Friday, and into Saturday. Of course that will change by then.

Last time I looked, it was iffy as to what we will get.
I don't think as much as last weekend.
Daughter has plans to go see one of her favorite bands in Burlington this weekend, but we'll see!!! I'm thinking NO!!!
She popped in today to get her lady bug tat put on a flower...
I need to swap out her coil pack since the light came back on again....
Am I rambling again??
Did I mention the flower tat??

THIS is why I have 2 boys

S-drives actually have a warning on the sidewall do not operate in freezing or near freezing conditions. Most summer performance tires do.

I agree SVT, daughter is more expensive, son was more trouble.

My daughter totalled two cars last year within 3 months. We are still making payments on one of the cars she totalled, and the other one we bought her.

She has a free place to stay in WS if needed.

But seriously if she does get stuck I've got extra rooms.

Please don't tell me its a 'butt hat' on the lower back. Hoping that fad passed.

haha! NO, it's not.
She had a small lady bug just above her bikini line on her front.
She had been wanting to have a flower put under it. So, that the bug was on the flower. It looks good, but just bigger than what I expected!.

They always are bigger than 'dad' wants. That's not horrible though, could be worse. That wouldn't make me run away, too many or too big of tats on women definitely are bad to me, though it is personal preference I guess.

What band she going to see? I'm afraid to know give your Son's choice in music from a few months ago.

yep, similiar.
I think my daughter is working on some art/graphics for the band.
She's friends with several in the band.
One of the guitar players stepped in and played bass for my son's band when the bassist was sick.
It was my son's HS battle of the band. So, I thought that was pretty cool of him to do!
