Hey, Does anyone know a good supplier of smoked tail light covers...and whether i should use a hard cover or a film. this is for a 07 max. I cant seem to find anything worth the money... i bought film covers for 20 bux that are custom fit but i just cant get them to lie down. they are supposed to be re-applyable... <- mistake.... lol.... sooo any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Plastic film overlays are definitely the way to go.That, or you could go the paint route (either buy smoke-specific spray or just use regular paint and coat it lightly.

I've been trying to convince my dad to get a set of these for his '04 (same tails as your '07). I don't know if they're actually any good but they seem like they should be.

the stuff i bought was only 20 dollars and its about the same thing as the link on stickercity.com except the ones i have dont have the adhesive on the back. what is the tint spray?? is it a paint?? cuz i dont want to have to PERMANENTLY smoke the lights... my dad is really strict on everything with my car so i need to be able to take it off if he says no. .. i dont wanna get beat. lol .

I have some smoke overlays I used for my 02 I35. Nobody made them for my car so I bought uncut sheets and did them myself. I did my tails and side markers. Here are some pics. I can give you the guy's email that sold me the overlays. He might have some precuts for your car. Let me know if you want his email Hey ZGadson, I have example cut out for our I35. I might have enough extra film to send you for your I35.

hey thanks that would be great. was his price reasonable??? and the tint that you did, if you needed to would you be able to take it off without ruining your light???? cuz im thinkin about just buying a sheet or w/e and doing it myself. what steps did u have to take to do it yourself?? ive never tinted anything before. Thank you very much!!!!!!!

I has adhesive but will not harm your lights. All you'll need to put it on is a water bottle with a little soap, squeegee and a heat gun or blow dryer. He will have instructions with the film. Here is his email. [email protected]. I am planning on using the extra to do my VW Golf and daughter's Camry.
