Slip light on sometimes when putting in gear and stange power loss???

Ok so when I put my 93 Q in drive or reverse, (maybe 1,2,3 but haven't tried it in those gears), The slip light comes on then goes away?

Also not able to finish AT check, I have a spare TPS and the kick down switch is working as well as the tcu because I installed a 94 TCU and seems better but still there are problems.

Also at about 20 MPH when I floor it it doesn't kick down and BTW I replaced the maf and the maf seems good.

That happened in my 1991 q45 and when I would push in the TCS button the car would regain the lost power.

Check battery voltage and alternato output to confirm proper operation of both- the Q acts funny with less than perfect supply of amps and volts

well I installed a new battery and the alternator puts out 13.89 volts

I've seen my SLIP light come on while shifting into reverse, but only if I haven't turned off TCS. I've always figured that it was just the system's sensitivity and it perceived wheel slip. It doesn't happen all the time though.

Would it kick down at 20 MPH? I don't have my 90-93 FSM with me right now (in the trunk) but I don't recall the AT being out of first at 20 MPH. Then again, I drive hard and don't let up until I reach 60.

How come you can't finish the AT check? It's not showing a code at all?

well sometimes it will, sometimes it won't kick down

and no i tried the AT check several time even got a 94 tcu and drove on the highway to warm up the tranny and still nothing.

You've got to tell me exactly what you're doing when attempting the AT check.

I don't know of any reason that it won't go through.

I put the car in park turn the put the key in the on position but don't fully turn the car on and as i do that I turn the odometer button counter clockwise then I put the car in "3" and press the gas pedal all the way down as i do it then i put it in "2" then 1 and i press the gas pedal all the way down as i do that.

exact same thing is happening to me except my slip light is on as soon as I move the car out of the "park" position in R - N - D - D3 - D2 - D1, was this issue ever resolved?
