hey everyone. wanted to let you all know that i live in korea and sell cars from japan skylines, silvias, etc. whatever you want. i can ship them to the states but it will be shipped as a track car so you don't have to worry about all the dot inspections. if you or anybody you know is interested hit me up. was going to upload some picks of an r32 i'm selling this week but can't figure out exactly how to post them on here. if you want something tell me and i'll send you some pics in e-mail along with the price.

There is no such thing as a track car in the US. You are asking for problems trying to go around DOT and EPA laws.

A couple of things.

First,
You think it's cool to come in here and just start telling everyone you sell/export cars? You are trying to use NICO as a vehicle to promote your "business" without first contacting the business manager to make sure it's OK? Did you not read the Terms of Service?

for-those-of-you-who-didn-t-read-the-ru ... 37994.html

Here's a point you should have seen, had you read it.
You agree not to use the message boards, membership list, email addresses contained herein as a way to gather data, request interviews, or solicit business without written permission of the owner of HDS Holdings, Inc. Email [email protected] for permission and additional information.

Second,
How many different ways do people need to be told the Skyline "CANNOT BE LEGALLY IMPORTED TO THE UNITED STATES!"
Doesn't matter how many ways you try to do something illegal, it's still illegal.
As for the whole "track car" method, I agree with Sean on this. There is no such thing as importing a car for track use only...lemme show ya something.

http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/ ... acing.html

Think that pretty much discounts the Skyline.

So, in closing, you have been warned not to use NICO as a base to profit from unless you have made an arrangement with Becky Childs (NICO business manager), and if you continue posting that you are selling cars for import to the U.S., (which would be against the Terms of Service), your account will be banned.

Thank you for your understanding.

actually u can import cars for track use/ competition use legaly. but, its only for 90 days not forever. and you cant put it on the street at all. after 90 days you might as well have a pile of ilegal drugs in your garage cause it would be just as legal. and you can import some skylines as show only also but im not sure if theres a time limit. but only cirtain hard to find models are covered. they have a list of show only cars and also a list of cars that cannot be imported for show. and skylines CAN be imported legaly just with alot of stipulations

If you can't figure out how to post pictures on an internet forum in 2010 (or spell "Skyline"), I'm pretty sure you don't have a real good handle on the legality of shipping vehicles internationally.

Thanks for playing.

Don't take this the wrong way, but that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

And do you mean Nagoya, as in from Japan?

Make sure they reversed the starter. Japan domestic market engines rotate in the other direction. It's illegal to counter rotate stateside.

I have a brand new, still in the Nissan box, RHD starter for an RB stored in my garage... waiting for the right buyer to come along.

This right here is not true.. you can not wait 10 years then legalize the car because when the car was imported it was imported illegally therefore wont happen you will NEVER be able to federally legalize this car.... i see some people trying to get there hands on a 89 r32 right now so it will be legal in a few years that wont happen either because the car would have to have the import date of exactly 25 years trust me ive done too much research on this situation because if thought about doing it myself but i allready own a fed legal r33
