it was raining today so i decided to watch one of the Star Wars "episodes" out of pure boredom, which brought me to realize how much i used to like the series..god forbid i'm probably the only one on here who does. But, I had thoughts of the unlikely (nevergunnahappen) final triolgy of the series..and what everyone else thought about 3 more additions to the "saga."

forgive me if this poll fails.

Why? The old man is insane and has proven repeatedly that he can't write for crap. And the story is already there in books and would not translate well to the cliffhanger 3-part format the movies use.

There is a CG miniseries in the works that'll take place between Episodes II and III, during the Clone Wars. Fortunately, Lucas won't be the main writer.

There's also the new game "Force Unleashed" which follows Darth Vader's secret apprentice on his mission to eradicate the Jedi following Episode III.

i guess everyone's entitled to their own opinions but i think force unleashed was released a good two years ago. As for that CG movie i don't know why their doing that since they already released the cartoon series before III even hit the theaters.

Force Unleashed definitely did not come out two years ago. You must be thinking of one of the many other Star Wars games.

Does seem odd that they're not only doing another animated series (though CG instead of traditional animation) covering the same time period and with almost the same name "THE Clone Wars" instead of "Clone Wars."Still, the original was a short miniseries made to bridge the two movies. The new series will be a lot longer and won't be tying any film plotlines together...it's it's own story.

I should probably clarify my "can't write for crap" statement, too. I should have said "Anymore." I love the original 3 movies. It's the new 3, plus Indiana Jones and the other recent writing he's done that are crap. He really needs to step away from the pen and let someone else do the writing while he "oversees" the project. Things work out a lot better that way.

After the newest three movies, no. He should not. I didnt even see the third one though. I cant imagine its better than the first three movies, because the others were not.

Yeah I really wonder what is going to come of that..I'm having conflicting thoughts in my brain wether it would be good or bad.

Good, as in being like the best prime time sitcom or Action drama show, or Bad as in ending up like a 1 o'clock daily snoother such as start trek, Stargate SG1, or Xena the warrior princess.

Lucas tarnished the originals with his more modern, boring CGI demonstrations.

So... "no"

Myeh, as far as CGI goes I just didn't even bother with clone wars.

I, II, and III three where fine by me.

I'd have to go with no on this one.

I liked the SW:TFU story line. I thought it was entertaining and what not. But i just don't think that there is anything worth chasing in Epis. VII, VIII, IX.

I know it is a matter of personal preference, but I dislike the cg style of the new clone war series. I'm also a fan of traditional animation, though.

As much as he raped Indiana Jones, I'll still go and see any new star wars. Sometimes it is fun to turn my brain off.

No more. The first three that ever came out were awesome. But it kinda went downhill from there. Don't get me wrong, George Lucas is an awesome guy, but it's kinda dyin meh?

if they do anymore they should just be remakes of the original 3 because the episodes 1-3 seemed like the technologies were better than the 4-6 then they tried to throw some look a like x-wing space crafts and the death star in on the end of episode 3 to make up for it. so yeah i say remake 4-6 or no

^ I agree 100%......I, II, III were not bad in my opinion but did make the the whole saga seem out of place with the different techniques of animation.

Sure why not, if they are making another F&F with the original cast why shouldn't Lucas do the same?

I remember watching Empire Strikes Back when it first came out. Just can't explain the excitement and the talk around this movie. So while watching the movie I noticed that Darth Vader got lost when he landed on Hoth. I said wait a second, what was that about? He follows some Storm Troopers who go the wrong way then he turns back and goes towards the camera.

Lucas is trying to explain Star Wars as some sort of evil Hollywood empire controlling the way or how movies are made. Turns out he is really Darth Vader and completely sucks after destroying one major planet/film.
