there are a couple of post about this in the search, but all you do is pull up and there will be a plastic piece on the shifter shaft that you gotta get off.

can i ask you which shift knob u going for?

Nismo has some nice looking shift knobs if you're into something clean and simple.

I really want a black Nismo one, but unfortunately all their models are screw-ins, not tapered. Versas don't have a threaded shifter shaft...unless you were to buy a die cutter or whatever they are called that MAKES a thread. If you went that route you would have to find a die that cuts a thread in 10mm because that's what most shift knob's thread pitch is.I was about to thread my stick, but ended up not when I got a refund for a Nismo knob I had ordered before lol
