Sentra SE-R SpecV Cams to Altima Coupe QR25?

Postby ItsEcko06 » Thu Feb 11, 2010 9:43 am

I reside in the altima coupe forums but I have been wondering if anyone knew about any performance gains by swapping a pair of 2.5L sentra se-r specV cams to a a/c's QR motor and acquired any gains. I heard the se-r's 3 main differences to achieve the 200HP are composite intake manifold, cams, and ECU mapping.

i can obtain these specV cams from everythingnissan.com for 170 a piece which doesn't seem very pricey to me unless they turn out to be a waste.

i would appreciate any help, thanks!

do you have a 6speed or CVT, cause if you want to do this, you should honestly do what i might do. if you have CVT just swap it for a 6 speed and than get all the parts.

if you have a CVT, im not sure how much more power it could take
if you have the 6 speed, I'd say go for it, I want to swap out all those parts too, so ill be right with you when you start doin it

also another thing to add is to up the compression ratio from 9:0:1 to 9:5:1 (or is it the other way around?)
