Been a pleasure folks :bigthumb:

My old girl, 265k '00 Anniversary is getting retired. I will part, but prefer to sell it whole.

The new one is a car when I first saw years ago I knew I would own someday. Ever had that happen with a car, love at first sight? The F50 is just so bleh to me, it was not an option.

Thanks to all of you for the literal thousands of dollars this forum has saved me in 9 years of owning my beloved Q. The M is nice, and in many ways cooler, but the Q feels like home. I get sad when I sit in it...I hope it goes to a good home, or I will part her out and sell her best parts. She has believe it or not, almost BRAND NEW OEM '00 Q Anniversary as the dealership replaced them on safety warranty at 220k!!! 3 are 9.9/10 but 1 had a run in with brake fluid and lost. Also, it has the wood steering wheel which is in ok condition considering it's age, but unfortunately in the last thousand miles of driving, three times by accident I scratched the top of it. Can you believe that? I drove it from 72k to 265k, wheel was ALWAYS perfect, an obsession, and in the last thousand, THREE DAMN TIMES. I'm sure the third time there were several witnesses to me screaming and cursing next to my car in the grocery store parking lot. It was a sign. Let me know if you're interested. I'm an hour from Boston.

I hope the threads I put on NICO, such as the knock sensor walkthrough, have been of help to others as well. I have received many emails over the years in thanks and that's really why we do this, it's to help each other. It's crazy how forums have changed our ability to obtain important information that otherwise would be years in the making.

Thanks!

Off to the M forum...

dude!!! Really? I'm sad to see you go, but you'd better still keep an eye on the Q forums from time to time so you can help the rest of us FGY33 folks out. Or I'll drive all the way to East coast and bug you!! :D I must confess...everytime I see the 03 and 04 M series... I stop and drool at it.... a perfectly defined hood and trunkline. It's the way sedans SHOULD still be built... not this quasi-hatchback designs that we see from all the manufacturers these days. Complete BS I tell ya!! Did the 1st gen M series with the VK also have the oil consumption probs of the F50? I imagine you did all the research right?? Fill us in will ya? I'm curious... I may be on the lookout for one of those USDM Glorias carryovers as well...

Hey, what would you take for your driver side power seat motor?? Does it still operate smooth? Mine is as loud as a lawnmower... can't be good.

Yeah it works and quietly. Going to try avoid parting, but feel free to list anything you want.

Thanks guys!

Can we not edit our own posts anymore? I realized later I didn't type the word "wheels" as the safety recall the dealer performed, but don't see an edit button?

Hey PJ, I know you said you would prefer not to part it out. With that in mind, if you still have the OEM grille to sell it with, would you consider selling me your JDM CIMA grille?? I want to redo mine....
