My son passed away at age 50 late last year in Boston.
I've brought his 2008 GX35 up to Vermont.
Somehow I've screwed up the Intelligent key security system and cannot get the
vehicle to start.
Where can I find info on site to help deal with the problem.
The local Nissan folks are NO help and my"Master Mechanic" got it
running but was not sure how he did!
Now it's acting up again (actually NOT acting up!)

Any help appreciated.

With an 08, the first thing would be to put fresh batteries in each of the smart key remotes.
If that doesn't work a trip to the nearest Infiniti dealer may be in your future.

Good luck

Along with checking/replacing the battery, if the car will still not function with the FOB then you can pull the key out from the FOB to lock/unlock the doors manually for access. You can then insert the FOB directly into the slot as shown via the picture below:

At that point the vehicle should be able to function until you can get the main issue resolved.

To remove the key, on the back of the FOB is a sliding button....slide it down and pull the keychain to extract the key. Here's a FOB with the key removed:

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks, Folks for your help.

Turns out my son had an '05 GX35...not '08.
Elsewhere on the forum some people proposed a solution which solved the problem.
"To Deactive Intelligent System:
Hold down the lock and unlock buttons for 2 seconds
Hazard light will flash 3x.
To Activate System:
Same procedure
Hazards flash 1x
Horn chirps
Open door with key, start engine!"

Eh viola!

Once again the combined experience/intelligence of forum users saves the day.

Glad to know you have it resolved. There is surely a difference between the '05 and '08 ;)
