When you have the surround sound volume all the way down its almost impossible to hear the seat speakers unless u literally put your ears ontop of them
The OP states he can only hear his door speakers, so if his rear shelf isnt working then thats obviously a problem. But I suspect the only issue he has is he cant notice audio from the seat speaker only, which he would need to turn the surround sound volume level up (even louder with centerpoint). Centerpoint just simulates the music is coming from the middle of the car as opposed to the edges where the speakers are. There is some trade-off using centerpoint, so its purely user preference and not a definitive improvement over the standard audio,
