Seat off track???

My M35 (2006) driver's seat suddenly is "off track". It looks like it's still in the floor tracks, but it has moved about 3 inches to the right to the extent that it now rubs on the center console every time it moves back and forth. There is no longer a gap between the seat and the console, like there is on the passenger seat. What happened, and what do I do?

what year is your car? how many miles? if it were me, i would just take it in.....

This happened to me back in feburary. Long story short, I ended up buying a new seat frame to the tune of $1200 Yeah! The bottom line is unless your car is still under warranty, that is what it is gonna take to fix it. Mine started back in feburary just like yours. Then a month ago, the whole back end of the seat frame broke off the floor. Seat frames seem to be a weak point for Nissan/Infiniti.

the same thing happened to me, if you have a warranty, infiniti fixes it without a problem?

Seems like a safety issue to me. This defect is BS! should be a recall or repaired at no cost regardless of warranty. How does a chair break like this in a car like this! Bush league.

i had the same issue with my G and the M is doing the samething.. Im waiting on my extended warranty to tranfer to get mine fixed

Crap this is what I created a post about last week or so - Broken Seat...help!! back of my seat snapped. Front is still mounted but back is all the way low and cant raise it. I am concerned about the safty issue as well!

I don't have extended warrenty and just hit 67k... I'm screwed... But, sunoco replied to my post, check it out -

not sure if the eBay part is still available, but I'm sure we can get the part from infinitiparts.com - maybe if we all buy in bulk they'll give us a good price? But my question is, how do you remove the bar from the back of the seat and mount the seat on the new bar/track system???

$1200 from the dealer is PAINFUL right now for me... OUCH. Plus my seats are bourbon - prolly soak me more just for being different (ok just wining now I know, it's a freaggin seat)....
