Alright jerkies. This is a werk in progress. I'll do a writeup after finals & then I can finish the other side.

Total cost is probably in the area of $300ish. That's including,

Red, Amber & white Superflux LEDs

Perf board, solder, supplies etc.

Pulse width modulator

I will say that this is definitely a time consuming project, and removing the lenses from the tails is a sonovabitch.

WOW! I'm an LED freek, I've messing with it for years on my Semi and Flatbed tow truck, but not really on my S13.

I don't care if you like led tails or not, give this man some props, awesome...

Its like the first diy led I've seen that actually has a logical pattern. Too many times people try to "customize" it more and mess up the design.

Finish them up and then picture time.

Where did you get the perf board? All that I can find is the green or tan-ish color.

Dude, you can paint it what ever color you want!

You can even tell in his 2nd pic down where his silver paint has peeled or chipped off.... it's tan underneath. I would recommend using a 3M scuff pad on it before you paint it though.
