Rusty 2006 Pathfinder

This is my first Pathfinder. My '06 has spent its life in central Ohio. I am the second owner so I only have a Carfax history before me. My concern is the amount of rust on the undercarriage and now I am seeing specks of rust popping through on the body. Is this typical for the next gen Pathfinders?

That looks like normal surface rust. I wouldn't worry about that, but if you're concerned you should start getting the undercarriage sprayed with a rust inhibitor oil. Here in Canada the best place is krown.
