Dude that looks pretty good. Now you've got me thinking of dropping mine. I'm guessing it's just a couple of bolts holding them up?

Six bolts per side on the Path.

Took my steps off, still not sure if I like the look better or not. As nbf stated, 6 bolts per side (2 bolts per bracket). I was impressed with the fit of the brackets, engineered really well. Too bad they didnt make the step seperate so you could just replace the tube and not the whole assembly. Path definitely looks like it sites higher.

I couldn't live without my steps on my q. Had em off for the winter. Me n dad found a set of rails for them and got a small welder and refabbef them. Installed them back yesterday and I'm glad to have them back. nissan wanted $1400 for new ones we refabbed ours for $200 for the welder which is useful for other stuff and $40 for the metal rails. About 8 hours labour

Qxxx4,

Glad to hear you finished them! Everyone has their own opinions, I think the Q looks unfinished without the rails. Can you post some pics. I have my rusted step bars ready for garbae pickup now I am rethinking tossing them out.

I took mine off last weekend. At first it looks a bit weird but it's grown on me fast. I think it looks better now without the running boards.

Would probably look ok if the Q was lifted. At regular stance it looks unfinished, the Q is too classy to have them removed. But if you like it that is all that matters!

Now that I'm looking at it again there is one thing that bugs me, the cutoff from the front fender flairs. It makes it look somewhat incomplete.

I should have been more specific--that is the only thing I dont like/that looks incomplete. Exactly what you said. The rockers dont line up with the bottom of the flairs. As far as the steps/boards being gone, that doesnt bother me at all. The Q has some of the nicest lower body cladding out there.

My Passenger side running board broke. So took the driver side off as well.

I know this is an old thread, but I plan on getting running boards on my Pathfinder. It has never had running boards on it, so I hope it will have the holes that are need to mount them.
