Clue One: "Hydrogen is more powerful than gasoline." NOT!

Clue Two: "In the past, fuel savers, which the HydroStar truly is, would not work when applied to fuel injection because fuel injection systems are actually designed to prevent efficient combustion!" DUH!

You likely will use more electric energy to generate the hydrogen than it will produce.

Yea the only free thing that helps your car run is air...

its like running your car off propane, no more injectors tho, just fuel nossels, nothing new, lots o power, runs colder and much cleaner

umm just to enlighten some of you a bit, gasoline is the least most powerful source of combustable fuel u can run an engine off of, step up and u get desil, step up, propane, step up hydrogen, step up alchaul, step up nitromethane, step up pure methane, hydrogen cars have been around for a while now, they have been out before the hybrid cars, problem is tho there is almost no place to fuel up hydrogen. i dont know about this so called "add on to your regular car with no changes" thing because u have to change alot of things with it.

Tested by local consumer advocate and police dept. - apparently it works in some cars:

I've been playing around with electrolysis hydrogen generators for a while. They can work to supplement fuel but using electrolysis does use a lot of electricity to produce the hydrogen. The hydrostar has been floating around for years and I have the plans for it and several variants. I work with some other people who, like myself, are pretty good a building things and working with electronics and that system has MANY issues. It's bogus to put it plainly. The concept works but that system can't produce a fraction of what a normal gasoline car would take to run and drive.

The best ones out there right now can produce good mpg improvement results as a supplemental system provided you hook it up right and use at least one other device to force the cars ECU to run leaner. There is a device called an EFIE which stands for electronic fuel injection enhancer. It alters the voltage from the O2 sensor to the ECU to make the ECU think the car is running a little rich so it will lean it out a bit. The problem with some vehicles with hydrogen injection is that the added hydrogen/oxygen in the exhaust sometime causes the ECU to think the car is running lean and it adds fuel. The EFIE solves this issue. Would I put it on my Q? Not yet, needs more testing. I do tons of experimentation on my old Toyota p/u tho.

I have had lots of fun blowing up zip lock baggies and shooting water bottles up in the air.

Here's a photo of one of the ones I made. It fits inside a 2" PVC pipe. Feed it any voltage over 2 vdc with enough amperage (about 10-20A) and it'll make hydrogen gas from water. They are simple to make and this one isn't very efficient. The next one I make will be able to make hydrogen much more efficiently.

If its that easy they can setup a shop and do the conversions. They can be billionaries soon.

Problem with mass market sales is that the results aren't consistent and it seems a little fishy to most people. Also, many people are reluctant to modify their cars. The hydrogen generators are a simple install but by itself will not always produce good results. The EFIE must be used and it does require you to cut into your O2/ECU wiring which many people don't want to do.

Cars like our Q's get much more complicated as we have 2 O2 sensors that would have to be wired into and you would need to make sure you adjust the voltage on both EFIE's to match. Certainly doable, just a little tricky.

Cheaper little econo boxes, like my '94 Toyota p/u are better candidates for these experiments.

Apparently the one tested :

separates the oxygen which you can use to enhance the air in the cabin.

Also it has an electronic control module built in. While mpg improvements weren't consistent it did seem to add HP in each application.

Quote »So we have US patents proving the technology, as well as huge news stations covering it.
Well, if the news media mentions it, it must be true, right?

Quote »In fact, if you look at some of the top selling guides like Water Car Pro, you will find that many of them have tons of testimonials from people that normally have no technical knowledge, yet have still managed to do this.
Lack of technical knowledge isn't an asset - It's a liability. Not knowing what you're talking about is NEVER a good thing.

Extracting hydrogen from water ALWAYS requires more energy that it yields - This is a hard fact of physics. Anyone who claims otherwise is either using bogus measurement techniques, or lying through his teeth.

Remember all the hype about cold fusion? Remember all the hype about adding acetone to gasoline to increase fuel mileage? This latest fad will end exactly the same way.
