I wouldn't say that we are f***ed if he is not voted in the white house in 2012. I dont place the hope of the country in one man to save the country. That is what the obamallamas did.

But I do agree, he was treated like a nutjob by the establishment of both parties. Especially, the Republican Party.

I think Ron Paul would make a fine president of the United States of America. The only thing that I disagree with him is his stance on trade/tariffs. But it would have been great had he been able to win and change the IRS and tax policy. I am a big fan of the flat tax.

The problem are his wildly enthusiastic supporters who come across as dreamy eyed buffoons.

Seriously, they are more wacked out than even the most ardent Obama supporters.

Paul supporters make even Constitutionalists look like centrists.

I would love to see him in office though!

If Ron Paul runs as a Libertarian in 2012, it will change the American political landscape. The Libertarians will surely get 5% of the popular vote nationwide and thus matching federal funding in 2016. Matching federal funding would put them relatively on par with the GOP, and this would force SERIOUS changes in the GOP, which would trickle into serious changes to the Democratic party (i.e. relinquishing of Blue Dogs to GOP, etc).

If he runs as a Republican in 2012, nothing will happen. He won't win the nomination and it'll be a lot like 2008. He'll never win the Republican nomination, even though he should.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see more of Ron Paul since he did have quite a few supporters. . . another person I'm sure we'll be seeing more of is Palin and if I were to pick between the 2 it would probably be Ron Paul.

Paul Palin 2012?

I'd recommend it to the VQ guys however as that motor sounds like a box of marbles trying to eat a dying cat.

You mean all the millions of Ron Paul supporters are less than 5%?

For anything good to have come of Ron Paul as president he would have to have been in this year, I don't see anything going back to the good old days after this term.
