This was the reason I didn't change the speakers on my previous 09 Rogue. By their construction, they looked like covering mid-high rather than just tweeters. As they fire right at the windshied, I was worrying that replacing them with a 1" tweeter of a component set would make the high to hard and since they are so far from the door speakers' mid range, may distort the sound field.
Another reason is that those original speakers doesn't sound too bad. I found the overall sound quality better than the infinity components in my Mazda 3.
If you are replacing them, let us know how you like the results. I think a lot of people would like to know too.
