Anyone know of a replacement for the rear Hatch struts. All I can find is universal ones at JC Whitney, Strongarm and Monroe, and when I checked with Monroe on the one Whitney listed they said no good. Universal only meants "it may fit" .There are replacements for other Nissan models anywhere fron $11 to $30 all over including EBAY. My Rogue is 10K over warranty and the dealers want $166. EACH!!! Talk about greed.
Any help is appreciated. I'm tired of using a stick .

where in NJ? im in monmouth county! welcome :)

this is a common issue even with the EX35. its tough one because these things are gas-filled and that leaks out fairly quickly, and thins instantly in cold temps. its unfortunately not something a handy member has come across, so an easy fix is not something im aware of.

Hey guys

Thanks for the replies. I just relocated from Rahway NJ to Cape May. Nearest Nissan dealer is about 40 miles.
I will contact that suggested manufacturer and see if they can recommend anything. All that info it too much for me to decipher.
I just don't understand why there are direct replacements for so many other cars and not the Rogue.
Other wise I like the Rogue a lot and may get another. I would like a slightly larger vehicle but with the gas price climbing I may stay with the Rogue.

Thanks again

Looking at all the info on that page and I can't seem to find the one your describing.

Sorry, the page was ment as a starting point. As it was gleaned from an Xterra forum, I shouldn't think the struts would be the same. You'll need to do a little research to detirmine which ones will work best.
