Hey Guys,Some of you read my last review which is still pending (I always seem to find another 240 when I'm about to find something/finish something, so things don't always get done)

BUT, this review will be complete!

Product: E-Mance Nissan Consult CableThis cable connects to the diagnostic plug by all of your fuses inside the cabin. Just pop off the fuse cover, look inside, find the plug, and plug it in!The cable gives you all sorts of real-time data. Gives you 0-60 times, faulty codes, you can clear codes, etc etc. I will post up a lot of pictures with all the features very soon, my laptop is charging and I'm waiting for it to finish and ill go out and play with it some more!**NOTE** The cable DOES NOT! come with the serial to USB adapter.

Customer Support: 10/10 Amazing! Jason offers amazing support and can answer almost any question you have for him about his products. Usually you can expect an hour within 24 hours (although it was much faster)

Price: Never seen better. The price for the consult cable and software was 63.99 SHIPPED on ebay! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

Shipping/Packaging: USPS First Class Mail is 8$ with purchase of the board. The packaging? Very simple and very effective. A nice envelope with bubble wrap on the inside. This item was shipped and received within 5 days.

Total Cost: You need to buy a serial to usb cable if you do not have a serial port on your computer. I paid like 25$ at my local radio shack for it.So the total cost was 63.99 + 25.00 = 88.99. Not to shabby at all!

Picture (not mine, but it looks the same as the picture)

Function?: Flippin sweet! Heres a SHORT list of things i can do:Do time trials (0-20, 0-60, anything i want)Run tests for codesClear codesSee timing, a/f ratios, temperatures, etc. etc.Turn off cylinders individuallyTurn off EGRTurn off fuel pump relayand much more!Pictures will describe it as soon as i get a chance to go out and take screenshots!

To my knowledge...YES.

I have not had a chance to experience this yet, so i cannot tell you i have tried it. But I am 99% sure the answer is YES.

You can scan for the codes, it comes back with the code along with a short description, and you can disable that code. So i would assume the CEL would go off also.

is this only through ebay?doesn't really make a difference i guess.I am interested in this being that you need a good scan tool to diag the cel.I have never had a cel on the whole time i had my car but by using a good scan tool i found a few sensor problems.

Currently yes.

If you give me lets say...idk a few days (5 at most), ill make a section on the website for it (i do web stuff for Jason, the owner. but i get NO chunk of the change, so this benefits me NONE. I'm doing it so i have more portfolio work.)

It did take a few minutes for me to get it working, i had a problem with my COM port on my computer. So i am going to make a write up on how i installed it in my car and on my computer just to clear everything up.

Its really easy to install and uninstall, so the choice is yours really.

I am choosing to leave mine in for now. The only reason is, i have a laptop that the screen is actually breaking off of, so i am gonna snap the old screen off, mount the computer underneath my seat, and then get a touchscreen monitor to mount in my car.

So that way, anytime i need a scan or want to monitor something, i can!

I mean for 65$ + the serial to usb, its cheap enough to buy another one if you want one permanent, and one not.

But like i said, its easy install and uninstall. So its up to you!

Will do! Give me another hour and I'll pull it all out and do it again and take photos.

Your gonna go when you see how simple it is! But it will be good reference for future newbs!

Booo! for not supporting our sponser Blazt! Oh and as far as clearing the codes, you can clear but if you dont fix the problem they will just come back. plus if you are using obdII it will tell you how recently a code was removed and show you if the system associated with that code is "ready" so don't expect to clear your codes and go pass emissions.

If i recall correctly, BlazT is nearly twice the price of this.

and we all know.240 owners are ballers on a huge budget.

Nope, but you do need it to download the software quickly. OR you can put it on a flash drive and transfer it to your laptop.

Check on the ebay link i posted, it should say there.

I do believe it depends on the year of the motor. If it is OBDII then it WILL NOT work. but if it is OBDI it will.

Will this allow for making actual ajustments?

ie.. can you use this instead of a SAFC2 to adjust fuel or MAF settings?

No you cannot. Why? Because the ECU has no place to store the new data.

if you have an obdII ecu just surf around the net and see if you can find a free download of nissan datascan. you can use that program for an obdII car. also the nissan datascan will allow you to make changes to timing and a/f ratio while in test mode, but not store the info. don't know if the other programs like conzult or tecu have those features.

I stand corrected.

i am not nor have i ever condoned pirating. data scan is a freeware program you can download it from blazt or any other site you find it on. tecu is freeware along with calumsult and even the obd scan tech program you are using with your e-mance cable is freeware. conzult is propriatary and you have to buy.

Actually, Nissan Datascan, and Scantech both charge now. The older versions were free, but the newer ones must be purchased and registered.

I apologize for mixing up what you were saying.

I cant seem to find a download for CalumSult, you don't have any links do you? I found one for TECU, do you have any downloads for that either?

as far as calumsult i don't remember where i found it but it was on some uk website. not sure about scan tech anymore but you can download datascan for free but you will only be able to do live register test, dashboard functions and ECU find. Enough to test the software works on your car before you register. as far as registering i guess thats when you pay for blazt. the blazt disc had both conzult and datascan along with the datalogger. all i did was email the webmaster at datascan with my product key and got the registration number, i guess blazt just registers all the product keys with datascan prior to sending out the discs so you pay for the license when you order there product

so you plug it into your laptop and ecu, and it shows you real time numbers and stores all those numbers on your computer? what about adjustments?

Correct sir,

I will have my short writeup done tomorrow and i will also take some screen shots of the adjustments you can make.

the changes can only be used while the laptop is on as you cannot store information on the ECU seeing as there is no place TO save it.
