resistor install question

so im installing the resistor for the egr temperature sensor, but dont know how to :confused: can anybody help? from what ive read, one end of the resistor goes to the positive(orange black stripe) and the other to ground, just wanna make sure before i install it

A resistor has no polarity. Either way is fine. All a resistor is is a semiconductor. It doesn't need to be oriented any specific way, like a diode or a capacitor would.

but one end of the resistor(doesnt matter wich one) goes to the positive and one to the negative, right?
