resistor install question

so im installing the resistor for the egr temperature sensor, but dont know how to can anybody help? from what ive read, one end of the resistor goes to the positive(orange black stripe) and the other to ground, just wanna make sure before i install it

A resistor has no polarity. Either way is fine. All a resistor is is a semiconductor. It doesn't need to be oriented any specific way, like a diode or a capacitor would.

but one end of the resistor(doesnt matter wich one) goes to the positive and one to the negative, right?
