Have you done any or much engine work before? Pulling the plenum is not for the inexperienced. If you are replacing all 6 injectors, pulling the plenum is the right way to go, if you have additional things youwant to do such as valve cover gaskets, maybe the coolant bypass etc.If it were me, and I had limited experience and no one with experience to help, I'd do the Dremel grind method even if it were all 6 as it is quite a lot of work to pull the plenum and get it all back together properly if you are not mechanically inclined and have previous engine mechanical experience.REad the link the previous person posted on p;enum removal, and also this one on Dremel metod

http://www.twinturbo.info/

Click on Z32 and then on Injector Dremel

I don't have a great deal of experience wrenching cars and I did it with my friend. Just follow the directions.. it's for a tt but if you have an NA you will notice the differences.. in my case there were three or four extra hoses not on that site that i had to pull.. just TAKE YOUR TIME and label EVERYTHING take pictures if you have to and keep everything organized and clean.. it's easy to get into the "taking things apart" mode and not pay attention but you will thank yourself if you are careful when you have to put it back together.. i also replaced a few fuel hoses and the four valve cover gaskets while i was in there.. if you need help send me an email.. Thank you for the links, I have my injectors at a shop for rebuild/cleaning and two of them are bad. Unfortunately they cant find any cores for replacement. Anyone know where to pick up Injector Cores for a '90 Z32?

At $140 each to replace two injectors could be a little painful at the moment!

Ok, posted in the WTB section. Im trying to get the car back in order so would these injectors actually drop right in place? They have listings for 370, 440 and 600cc injectors and Im not sure which would be best as a stock replacement (not up to replacing the ECU).

Thank you for the help!

So, after thinking it over Im going to just replace all 6 since the injectors arent extremely expensive provided I dont get them from the dealer. Its probably best to go ahead and replace all 6 as getting cores seems difficult and the existing injectors looked pretty old (plastic is getting brittle, etc)

What would be the best CC size to go with for the injectors since they all seem to have several levels? There are no ECU upgrades and dont want to buy injectors that will just piss the ECU off.

Thank you

as a general rule of thumb.. a 370cc injector can withstand about 370horsepower, a 555cc injector can withstand about 555 horsepower and so on

So, does it really matter if I am off a bit and buy slightly larger injectors after all?

no if you buy a slighty larger injector you should be fine.. if you go too big you'll just be wasting fuel and running rich

Yes, it does matter big time! With the stock ECU and fuel mapping and larger injectors it has no way of knowing it has larger injectors and will feed more fuel in making it run super rich...and perform more poorly than stock.

Thats what I thought, so what size would be the replacement of a stock '90 Z (N/A though dont think that matters)

Yes it does also matter between N/A and TT. The N/A is something like 270cc and the TT is certainly 370.You will have to likely go to Nissan or Coz or Courtesy or just about anyone that sells Nissan parts and tell them your car details as in if it's an N/A or TT.

i did not say that it doesn't matter b/c obviously it does.. my stock NA is rated at 222hp and I have 270cc injectors in there.. it runs fine.. TTs use 370cc injectors when they have 300hp.

what i was advising against is upgrading to 555cc injectors for example, with the stock ecu fuel mapping

Here are some on eBay that will likely be a lot cheaper than new

I got an email back from an aftermarket injector dealer. He said that stock NA is 270-290cc. A new set of 6 (aftermarkets) will run $360.

I just got my Venom injectors in and was wondering if the plastic cap is suppose to be removed after installation? Its got a hole for the pintle and the originals still had the plastic when I removed them.

Top is new, Lower is old. Love the pink filter?

Does the plastic have a small hole in it? Most with that plastic cover are meant to be left on as they help atomize the spray.

Yes, it has the hole and looks like its suppose to stay on. Most injectors come with a plastic protector cover so just figured I would ask to be safe.

Thank you.

aww a plenum pull is not that bad the second time if you delete the egr and tb warmer's makes it a 30 min job instead of a 2hr job
