Hello everyone,

I am new to this so bear with me. I have a 2004 Quest and the CD unit has gone south. I have found several radios to purchase bu the part numbers and descriptions are not the same. One is a 6 disc unit that fits a 2004 - 2006 Quest. I am wondering if it is a direct swap for what I have. If not, if there any way to find out which ones are a direct swap? The van is my wife's and we have been extremely happy with it. The radio is the first real problem other than the front rotors which everyone seems to have a problem with.

Thanks

I am assuming that you are looking at the OEM replacement radio that you found in the WEB - not aftermarket replacement for your original radio. My take on this is that the OEM replacement radio may have a different P/N, but maybe compatible. During the life of the vehicle, engineers release a new P/N for the same unit due to design changes - If I were you - I would as the store if your current P/N can be replaced by the NEW P/N that you are looking to buy. I will not be surprised if there are a number if iterations of your radio in the span of 3 years, thus different P/Ns.
