I would like to replace the 2007 infiniti g35x 's factory amp to after market 's amps. Does anybody do it yet? Please let me know. Also please tell me where I can locate the factory amps and the color wires. Thanks.

Just be careful...the Bose speakers use a 2ohm impedance (normal speakers are 4). This will cause the amp to push more power...you will not need much more than 25 watts RMS per channel. If you replace the speakers, thats a different story!

+1 for what joe said. Most new amps today are stable down to 2 ohms, so that's something you'll also want to make sure of. If you can't find a 2 ohm power rating, its roughly twice the power rating of a 4 ohm-rated amp. Theoretically, cutting the resistance (ohms) in half should double the power output, but there are inefficiencies to take into considerations. If you're replacing the amp, you might as well spend the extra cash for even better sounding speakers.

yes , I have to replaced the speakers if I want to replaced the after market amps. Thanks for bring that up.

I don't know what zozo sent you, sometimes he's a little out of it haha. But here's a link to the FSMs as well. You kind of have to guess at which one you want--the two letters stand for different systems, like av would be audio video. Best way to view them is to right click, and Save Link As...sometimes they have a little trouble downloading them when you try to open them from the site.

Good to see someone else from MI, I think we're the only 2 in the G forum.
