I was wondering if anyone has ever changed the xenon bulb in their 04-10 qx56? My left side seems to have died (one side looks nice and white, the other looks like dim pinkish color now). I read in the service manual that I need to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery...is this really necessary? Dealership wants $220 + 55 labour, while I can just buy the bulb on ebay for like $30-50.

Anyone ever done this with this car, and if so, is it easy enough? And do I really need to disconnect the negative terminal?
