I need to replace the lockout button on my 97 Maxima. I bought a whole new shifter handle (hasn't arrived yet) and I'm wondering if all it take to remove the entire handle is to remove the single screw and slide the handle up and out. Any electrical connections or oddball tricks that I should know about?
Thanks

If you are replacing the entire shifter handle assembly, you'll have to remove the two screws on the back side of the handle, remove the center console, unplug the connector for the over drive switch, then you'll have to remove the wire pins from the connector, then the handle should pull straight up.
