I got a $10k budget and was looking for a nice sporty car but that could be driven everyday and not end up being towed to a mechanic (*cough* BMW *cough*). Is there anything I should know about the car? How much do you usually spend per year on maintenance and repairs?
Welcome to NICO
Both the G35 and the G37 are both very reliable vehicles.
When purchased brand new and properly maintained that is.
With a $10k budget what do you expect to find?
My previous 06 G35 was the best and most reliable vehicle I've ever owned in the past 50 years.
I traded it in for my current 2012 G37S with 171796 miles as it was gong to require a few thousand in needed repairs. Brakes, headlight ballast, leaking differential seal.
I could be wrong but from reading your post I'd have to guess that you are young and perhaps looking for your first car?
My advice would be to look for something cheaper such as Honda, Hyundai or Altima.
Older Infiniti's may require replacement parts and if you can't do much of the work yourself the labor is expensive.
Qualified independent mechanics are hard to find.
I trust no one but the dealer to do any work on my Infiniti.
Just my $.02
Good luck
