does anyone know how to remove the rear wiper blade? I lifted the plastic cap and removed the nut. however the wiper arm would not come lose. I'm afraid to pull too hard for fear of doing damage. I think something other than the nut may be holding the wiper arm in place, but I'm not sure.

any help would be great!Thanks

Sorry I can't help you with exact instructions but what I can tell you is that I went to my local Nissan Dealer and parts shop and asked for a Nissan Versa Hatch Wiper Blade and they ordered me one for $14 Wiper arm assembly and blade, threw it on my car for free when I got there.

So I would recommend just going and picking one up for $14.95 save you some trouble. Otherwise good luck.

I know the original post is from 3 years ago but thought I'd answer it in case anyone else searches and finds nothing like I did.

The wiper blade is just snapped on a pin on the arm. You should be able to hold the wiper arm firmly and push down on the blade (toward the glass) and it will snap off of the pin. It will feel like it wants to break and hopefully it won't, no guarantees though. The blade frame is different than typical front blades but similar to a lot of rear blades for other cars.

I ended up removing the nut and removing the arm like the original posted tried to do because I didn't know how to pop the blade off of the arm until I got the arm off. The arm didn't want to come off because of some corrosion but prying from behind, going around the shaft behind the base of the arm a little at a time finally freed it up. A small gear puller would work too. I had to do that on the wife's volvo rear wiper.

daveb123 is correct, but, for anyone who just HAS to get the arm off, use a battery terminal puller.
These ought to be available from any auto parts supply outfit.
