So, it's been a couple years or so since I graced the vast awesomeness that is Nico. Now, some might say I've forsaken y'all(a honda has been added to my collection), but so has another Nissan, so we'll call it even. However though, this is a re-introduction thread, so let's get on with business... I'm Brandon, and I don't think there was an actual turning point where I chose to become infatuated with Nissan's, it just happened. If the lines of any pre-80's Z car don't make you weak in the knees, you're not human. So, I embraced it. I saved my money, and at the ripe age of 15, or 16 I became the proud owner of a 1992 240sx, she was a little rough in my opinion. So, the build started back then, just about the same way any high school budget build does, but that just wasn't good enough for me, then life happened, and I had to put it on hiatus... To this day, not too much has changed with how she sits today, burns a little more oil than when I picked her up, and the hood's cancer has increased, but the parts pile/list has grown and the conclusion is, it's going to be just as much of a restoration, as a build. Stay tuned though, reasonably sized objects are on the horizon, like tearing this single cam down, rebuilding it with some better internals and throwing a respectable amount of nitrous at it... I now realized I've totally neglected to add the other Nissan that's found it's way into my stable. Same year, 92 hardbody. Extended cab, 2wd, v6/5speed, absolutely bone stock, and just crossed 190k. Now, I have a life story for the 240, however the truck's far more boring. Not too much to say about it, because it's pretty tits from factory.

Sorry that the only pics I've got of the hardbody are of low quality, also... it's been so long there's no pictures of the 40 on this computer. Oh wells, I think that about sums it up. It feels good to be home.

That's almost the same truck we had when I was a kid, except ours was silver. I remember squeezing into the back of the cab with my brother and playing with legos on road trips. It was super dependable.

To be absolutely honest, I don't think the fold downs have ever been used in this gem, the truck has easily outperformed any expectations I would have had for it. I've been looking for a 4wd counter part, though they're almost nonexistent here in SoFla.. How's the quacker(Ducky)?

The duck keeps quackin'! Still needs an AC compressor and some cruise vac lines replaced, but now its finally as quick as it was supposed to be from the factory.
The Cadillac is on Craigslist. I'm planning to move for work/school at some point so I'm paring down my property.

We rarely see hardbodies or pathfinders in decent shape around here because of rust. It's too bad because mechanically they can't be stopped.

Glad to hear that man, A/C isn't a necessity especially when you live in such a frigid climate. Also, just how 'quick' are those bangers from factory?? I've always liked Saabs for some reason, though not enough to purchase one, but enough to love having the chance putting one through it's paces. I blame Seinfeld entirely for it.
You rarely see harbodies and pathfinders around here in decent shape either, they tend to be made into an abomination by a certain breed of 'people'. However I got really lucky finding this truck, I bought it from the original owner, who went to the dealer for everything. My only gripe is the paint, when it was resprayed they didn't take their time with prep or finish, and it's apparent in some areas. I love it to death though, and do plan some remote turbo action whenever this motor starts getting tired...
Thanks for all the good words guys, not that I expected anything different from this lovely place.

Smurf, best I can do right now man... it's the one getting neglected under the car cover :frown:

The red one wasn't, when I bought the black shell it had a set of lowering springs on it... So, I'll wait until the struts blow, and maybe throw a garbage set of coils on it. I'm having my machinist neighbor fab up some spacers so it's not a sunken battleship.

Smurf, I know... but believe me, it's nothing worth writing home about... I might snap some pics when I give her the monthly oil circulation. If it helps I'm finally starting the rebuild/build of the single slammer, yeah that's right. Who goes dohc to sohc?! This guyyy.

I bet a couple of KA24DEs fetch a premium 2 weeks before race wars.
