Post

Hi Everyone,

I was reading some old articles from a couple of guys like Carl H and DriftingisLame, it seems there are some good articles about substituting the J30 igniter for the OEM RB20/26 ignitor. It looks like DriftingisLame (Max?) has also figured out a "North America parts" way of bypassing the igniter altogether. If anyone can steer me to that article, and/or Carl H's article on the J30 ignitor, I would really appreciate it! I think I've got a bad 26 igniter and would rather not pay the $550.00 from Kudosmotorsports.com.

It looks like the RB26 igniter is part number: 22020-05U00

It looks like the J30 kit (with bracket) is part number: 22020-97E25

DriftingisLame said he used the vq30 Maxima coils and I'd love to learn more about that so I can get rid of my igniter completely.

Thanks everyone and I'm sorry for reviving a several year old post. I guess that means I'm slow. LOL

Oh and it was great meeting some of you for the first time at NOPI Atlanta!

Thanks again Everyone,
Kenny

Use the internets, young padawan. ---> https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater ---> selling the ignitor for $70 AUD, which is about $62 USD. Shipping shouldn't run you more than $20-$30. Highly recommend that FB group for parts from Australia. If you want to eliminate the separate ignitor entirely, you can rewire your coil harness to accept R34 GTR coil packs. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/151829-r34-c ... rsion.html
