RB26DETT Clutch question

RB26DETT Clutch question

Postby XeDoX » Mon Jul 23, 2012 1:44 am

Hello.I'm preparing RB26DETT (R33) swap in my S13 and I have several questions.I'll be using RB25 tranny. Will the clutch match the RB25 transmission or I'll have to go aftermarket ? The clutch is push type. And if it match, what is the maximum hp it can handle ? The car will be around 400RWHP .Another option is to use ceramic clutch disc with the stock clutch cover. Thank you in advance.

R33 RB26DETT used pull type clutches if I remember correctly.

I'd think that if you went to a push type clutch, you shouldn't have any issues using a 25 trans.

That I don't know. I've heard rumor that 400 on a stock clutch is about the limit, but I've also heard you can go higher. I wouldn't want to take any chances. Bet a nice aftermarket single and call it a day.
