hey all im thinking about swaping my rb20 stock mani out and not sure about getting the cheap godspeed one, but i came across this one durring my searches. let me know what you guys think. is it worth the money
http://nozzs.com/index.php?main_page=pr ... ucts_id=13

on another note since im make a new post about repeat things, anyone running there rb20 with bov venting to atmo.? talked to carl H. a bit about it, but i want to get rid of all the tubing/piping mines kinda hanging there after i swaped out the stock exhaust mani for a aftermarket one and wasnt able to use the mounts for the stock recirculation pipes. also want to put in a oil catch can with some nice clean steel braided lines
anyone with free time care to post pics of there bov and or oil catch can set up to help me out would be fantastic!

heres my set up as of now, got alot of work to make look good still a head of me!

Looks pretty damn good to me. Looks better than my old a** Rips intake manifold. I run my BOV to atmosphere.. but I'm running a AEM EMS. I did run it open too when I was blow through.

you cant run your bov open to athmo running draw through unless u dont mind your car stalling every now and then when coming to a complete stop and having s*** idle. Like yellow said if u change to a blow through setup then you can run it open no problem, as long as it is between the maf and the turbo, but that requires a tune and dumping a bunch of cash just for a louder bov is dumb. I had no idea about this new IM u posted, never knew about an after market complete IM for the 20, thats pretty cool, although it is known that the stock IM on 20's and 25's are very well designed to perform at it's best under 450whp, in other words, you'd be loosing power by swapping your stock im on your 20 or 25 on stock turbo and a lot of mid-range torque. What do u prefer? Form or function?

Thats what ive read on the IM and decided it would be a waist of money, so Ill just put that money into a better turbo set up. As far as running bov to atmo I have everything to do it. My main reason for doing it is that im trying to clean up my engine bay and the recirculation piping is just hanging there due to the mounts being cut off. I recently saw a video on YouTube of a r32 gtst runing bov to atmo all stock minus the bov was a type rz and it ran fine the recirculation pipes where just blocked off. Ill have to find it and post it on here.

yeah ive seen it. Well, when i switched bov's (i also have the type s) i first decided to leave it open and just plugged the hole on the intake pipe by the turbo and was dissapointed to find out that it kept stalling at almost every full stop. Now that was on my 25, i always assume 20 and 25's to work the same on situations like this but who knows, maybe it's different on the 20, give it a try, i know for me it didnt work. Now about your type s, im assuming it is authentic, did u buy it new or used? Do u know if u have both or just one spring in there?

I'll find out this weekend I guess if itll run i hope i really do hate the recirculation piping haha. I bought my bov new and it had one spring in it but came with 2. I put the second one in it when I first got it. Since its adjustable I just loosend it a bit to compinsate the stiff springs.

wanted to do a quick update to running the bov to atmo. The reason why it stals out is because the bov starts to creep open and you loose vacuum, im able to adjust my bov so i tightned it up a bit and it will stay running the idel does drop a little 200rpm or so. but with a good 2g bov i dont think it would be a problem. i have the chance to buy a new greddy type rz for $160 usally $260+ i may do that. this weekend i plan on re doing all of it and i hope ill have good results to share.

Hey,
I have a RB20 with a top hat upper plenum and running a hks bypass valve VTA.
At idle the vacuum lifts the valve open, do I had to ghetto rig a one way valve on the bov discharge so my idle wouldn't be off and stumble etc....

The cool/pain in the a** thing is that the cat shoots ginormoues flames whenever I shift or on decel.

There is no chilling from cops, luckily there's no emissions in FL.

Right now I'm recircing the bov.
