I found these charts that they call the serial numbers, but they are the chassis number or equivalent of a VIN number. There were a few minor errors in the chart on Japanese Sport Cars, so I corrected them. The first R34's were produced in 1997. You can see the prototypes all started with chassis number 000051, the same as the R33 GT-R. Interesting. The first R34 GT-R's were produced in 1998 starting at chassis number 000051, and going to chassis number 000104. The Altia Nissan Skyline GT-R that Automotiveforums.com raced in World Challenge, the ex-Super Taikyu race car was chassis number 000092, so it was a pre-production car. This chart only goes though 1999, so will have to see if I can find some newer information.

Damn! That means getting a 98 is going to be tough. Since I seem to be a pro/lucky at getting under the 500 mark for 32's... maybe I can manage one of these in about 4 years.
