Hey guys, I'm gonna be getting a 96 r33 gtr here in hawaii. it's going to be my daily driver and i would like 500 plus to all my wheels. I wanna know what would be better for daily use? Aftermarket twins with supporting mods or fat single?

Twin turbos. Set of 2530's or 2860-5's. Proven setup, nothing odd. Don't get too weird or different.

I second the suggestion of the HKS 2530 snails. There are several GT-R guys over here that use them, and swear by them. They go with mild tunes and say that the 2530's are perfect for what they use them for. Occasional trips to the circuit and blasts around the highways of Tokyo.

You could also look into the R1 Nismo turbos. You can get just under 500 with those, according to the RB26 Tuning World magazine I have.

It rates the HKS 2530Kai turbos at being able to support about 530 hp. The HKS GT-SS are about the same but have better response.

I've dynoed a bunch of different turbos on RB26's over the years. Nismo, N1, GT-SS, GT-RS. I still like the 2530 or the 2860-5 turbos on a 500ish hp setup on a 2.6.
