With enough pestering, the wife let me grab a nice looking, and smooth driving (so I thought) R33 GTS25t

Its an ECR33 (S1), 1995 w/ Artic silver paint 80thousand Km on the chassis, only 40thou km on this engine before the pistons gave out.

FMIC
HKS Intake Filter
Lower / Stiffer Springs & Struts (HKS)
GReddy boost controller
Greddy Turbo Timer
Slotted/drilled rotors
255-45-17 Dunlop Direzza and 245-40-17 Toyo proxy fronts
HKS DraggerII 3" straight thru exhaust
Apexi downpipe
HID Hi and Low beam, now with projector low-beam retrofits.
Full Alcantara / Suede grey interior re-trim
GTR Body panels and wing

So the kid who sold me the car gave me a lemon engine, which promptly melted cylinders #2, 4, and 6. Yeay

So Heres the layout so far;
--Purchased;
FReddy intake manifold
Hicas Lockout bar
Tomei oil restrictors (not using)
ARP head studs
Oil head evac
Z32 MAF (May sell & go with a MAP setup, I hope)
555cc Injectors
HX35 with vband exh housing, ported.

Still awaiting purchase;
CP Pistons 87mm
Eagle rods
MLS Headgasket
Machine work
Topmount exhaust manifold (Dont want to go ebay on this.... yet.)
Clutch
90mm TB
ECU

The engine is being torn down to be bored .040 over and slightly decked. I will port the heads myself (removing flashing mostly) and then lap the valves, maybe so some polishing on the combustion chamber.

Im looking at the competition stage 4ish clutch. Anyone have any experience with them? My current 6 puck is only a 5 puck... One entire paddle had no friction material.

Got a few parts in,

New front and rear main seals, camshaft seals, and oil / waterpump seals.
New oil strainer / pickup
N1 oil pump
Aeromotive FPR
GTR fuel pump

Plus a full SAE and Metric snap-on wrench set donated for my A&P studies by one of my test pilots.
Air tools coming in the mail too, hopefully I wont need the garage skills-shop anymore soon.

Internals (+.040 over) on the way, machine shop picked out.
Thanks Enjuku

So as soon as the parts come in, I will drop it all off and get it bored, honed and decked.

Hopefully it will be running this springtime, just in time for warm weather.

Bet the wife was not too happy to hear about the boom part too. Very common for a ring lands to give out on stock turbo cars. Something was not right about the tune or some bad gas?

Btw, you are more likely to get GTR/GT-S engine related responses from Nicoclub RB section.

rb20-rb25-rb26-forum.html

The GTR section here is a bit, slow.
