Just bought my R32 GTR over here in Japan, but it needs a left rear wheel bearing.

The Nissan one runs around $300 and they gave me part number 43281-AA300. I was reading up on the late model 300zxTT being the same. It's part number is 43281-AA100. They're going on eBay for about 50 bucks compared to the $300 ones. Some sites show it WILL swap and some sites show it will NOT swap. Just want to know before I drop the cash and thenwait a few weeks for it to get here.

If anyone wants to see the car

I can't answer that, but hopefully Tyndago will drop in and take care of that answer for ya.

I can't say I have replaced many rear wheel bearings. Some front's as that is normally where you have issues.

Lots of parts are the same/similar, but might have a different load capacity, or...

Just make sure the 300ZX part isn't an NA part, that its for the TT car.

Sorry I don't have a real solid answer. I would have to see each bearing to see if it was possible. I know the R32 pretty well, but I don't see that many 300ZX parts.

Did some more research. The first bearing is an NA bearing. The 2nd bearing is GT-R and also 300ZX TT. Yes it is that much more expensive for the TT bearing.

If you google - 43281-AA300 you will get your answer.

Tyndago, your advice is spot on, I was searching bearing interchangeability, when I should of just searched the bearing part number. It IS the same as the 300zx TT but its equally expensive. Either way, thank you! Now to find the best deal

*edit* Autozone had a timken bearing for 200 and found a coupon code for 20% off orders over a hundred bucks, came out to be $167 shipped!

Just to update this, the Bearing was the correct style, but was a bit too small. So the 300ZX Timken Bearing did NOT work, at least on my 89 R32. I now have the car at the hobby shop in pieces, haha and had to suck it up and get the $370 Nissan bearing from Naha. Ill report back when its all together and see what part number they give me.

I don't own a GTR per say, but my car is technically full GTR when it comes to the powertrain, drivetrain, and suspension. My front hubs originally got sand all in the bearings because I was an idiot doing open sand blasting while the axle was out. I went through some of my old pictures and saw one of beck arnley packages for the wheel seals (2x per side - 4 total for the front) and front/rear wheel bearings. I cant find my old notes, but I remember researching measurements of the bearings and seals I pulled out of my GTR hubs. I am pretty much positive my fronts were purchased in reference to a 96' Altima for the bearings and 4 seals. The rear was purchased in reference to a 96' 300ZX Twin Turbo (must be turbo not NA). All of my wheel bearings are "Beck Arnley" brand from Rock Auto.

The OE BNR32 front wheel bearing part number is 40210-05U00 and does indeed cross reference with a Bluebird (Altima). Hope this helps.
