Anybody know how much the adapters and brake lines cost if you already have the Akebono calipers?

Brakes are awesome!

But those wheels need to go back to the trailer park you boosted them from.

Still too slow... Had R.S. Enthalpy, Martin, tune her finally. 453/453 on the dyno at Z-Fever in Tampa. Maxed out on stock injectors. Here's a race from a roll with a C6... More power to come soon.

That was the 3rd race, started to get pretty hot. I did just replace the solenoids today, so hopefully it'll shift better.

Ended up with 453/453; This is maxed out on stock injectors and MAF. Now it's time to get some parts... :chuckle:

Nice! what psi are you running to hit 450? and are you running stock fuel pressure? Is your oiling system for the turbo separate or runs back to the front? QZILLA needs Nistune! :bigthumb:

Baby zilla is running now. Siju changed out the fuel pump and now it definitely boogies, but the turbo smokes like a son of a gun under acceleration. So we may be adding a 2nd pump to the oiling system. Oil is backing up in the reservoir after the turbo.

I'll start a new thread with pics soon, I don't mean to thread-jack yours.

I have the NISMO adjustable FPR on 55psi, I have a scavenger pump in the trunk that pulls the oil through the turbo and sends it back to the pan. If my pump quits, I have the same problem.

Dynojets are way optimistic. Was hood closed with large 220V ducted box fan cabinet coupled to the front inlets? Floor fans are a joke. Of course under engine tray is mandatory to maximize cooling flow.

Injectors are probably way maxed, but higher flow ones are available. LPFP is probably a problem also. Don't get too greedy. 6 psi is probably a good number for maximum boost. See Nispro for real turbo VH45DE builds, but only for boats.

You know Brian, we dialed it down, it was running 470/520, because it was a little on the lean side. So if you have something nice AND productive to say, I'm all ears, but you come off like an arrogant douchebag hater.

You've never modded any of your Q's, I'm assuming, so you really have no clue what you're talking about, just regurgitating things you've heard, maybe right, maybe wrong.

I also don't understand why you have to keep stirring the pot, annoying me, replying six months later, just to be a tool... guess you weren't loved as a child.

Maybe we'll meet sometime and we can resolve your problem.

Not yet. Bad turn in the market, so it's on hold. Just gathering the parts at this point.

Love it. Those wheels aren't terrible - kind of a modern spin on the old Keystone or Cragar S/S mags. I'd lean more towards a Japanese tuner-style wheel, but when you're packing a boosted VH, style is secondary.

Here's some info on D-jet factors... Easy enough to ask the tester what parameters were entered. http://www.badasscars.com/index.cfm/pag ... /prd64.htm

There's a certain S14 here in town with a VH running 18psi... It's terrifying. I'm trying to secure more info.

You knuckleheads are giving me the Q itch again, dammit! :)

I can show you how much mine my rear mount standalone oil system either smokes or consumes oil (depending on the psi and flow I set into the turbo)

I'm about to remount the pump down lower than the turbo and that should fix the oiling issues with it. Currently its pushing oil into it, mounted lower it will pull oil out of a catch can under the turbo - should work much better. If all that fails, I'll just tie into the oil cooler on the front of the car and run the turbowerx as a scavenge pump.

I'd love to see a vid of this 18 psi monster. The most I've seen is close to 8 psi on a blow thru setup, I can't imagine 18! :woot:

Anytime! I have a designed for turbo motor now. It's little, though. ;)

Nispro did the best build turbo using I think a VK45DE. Their VH45DE turbo build was only a marine application I think, but is was incredible.

Needless to say, everything was changed, except the block and heads, maybe the valves.

Have fun!

Any real world bi-directional run numbers yet?

I have found a company to make a set of rims, but I'll have to take the car there so they can measure clearances. I also need the market to cooperate to get the needed $$. These rims will be more like stock, with a twist.

Any reason you decided to use the pump to push oil through the turbo? In mine I'm using throttled down engine oil pressure to supply the turbo and my scavenge pump pulls it out. Do you have some sort of pressure regulation from over pressurizing the turbo? Is the reservoir below the turbo so it can drain freely into it? Mine ran great like this for years, eventually it's started leaking just because the turbo is due for an overhaul.

I just finished (today) redoing the whole thing. I ran oil lines from the front of the car (T''eed off an oil cooler) to the rear of the car and then out the turbo to oil cooler/pump. The pump then pushes the oil back to the motor, (using the pump as a scavenge pump). I put a smaller restrictor on the turbo (.060).

the previous standalone setup was a nightmare getting the flow right, or it would push oil past the turbo seal or pull it past (either dumping some oil into the intake or the exhaust or both). On the test drive today there was no smoke and zero hesitation. Pulled hard! Now though I think I have to double check that everything is vented properly. I actually came on this thread to look up photos of John or your car (if I can find them).

I'm just relieved to have it running good!

and many thanks to John and yourself (along with Siju) for being the pioneers! and sorry to hijack your thread John!

just running 7 psi right now, at least until I get the kinks ironed out. I suspect I've got a leak near the MAF, may have to install a BOV. Usually it tops around 6 psi with the leak, but I've seen it creep once or twice close to 8 and it was eye opening power to say the least! Meth injection kit and the fuel pressure riser help a lot though - no detonation at all...AFR's look good under boost.

John, you deleted the emissions junk right? I'd like to figure out how to do that (no emissions testing here). I have the PCV vented to a catch can, but the valve covers still seem to be under a little pressure. That is the next hiccup to sort out. Plus minor things - I bought a PWM to control voltage to the pump. No reason to run it full bore all the time. I figure if I run it at 8 or 9 volts it will more than keep up with the flow to the turbo.

Beast needs tires soon too! apparently boost and VH45 = shredding tires :gapteeth: What size tires can you all fit in the rear? I'd love to fit something bigger than the current 245's. I may try 265's and see if they don't rub.

She just turned 102k miles the other day! I work from home and don't drive enough. I may have to plan a road trip or 2 this year. :chuckle:

Im running 275s on the rear, but need to roll the fenders. That Akebono brake kit makes me need to use spacers all around. At some point, ill have some one offs made for her. 265s should fit just fine.
