:woot: :woot: Just turned over 1000 miles on my forged engine build... :mike Rear end rebuilt and doing fine. TPS set while engine cold and has been staying put, go figure. This weekend I'm going to change out the bad HLA and switch out my throttle body with a newer one I've had laying around. I think my TPS issues are related to this TB, 268k miles on it, I think it's just tired.

I have to get a 4-row radiator. The car runs about 20 degrees hotter than before. Can't take it on the highway and stay cool while maintaining 75mph. I guess 9:1 CR creates more heat than stock 10.2:1. Hopefully going to get dyno-tuned next month.

why a 4 row? Think about a radiator in terms of thickness and cooling capacity and not rows. Summit Racing has some nice universal 2 row radiators that are over 2" thick (some of them are 3" thick) that would definitely keep the beast cool. Turbo LSX guys run these with zero problems.

something like this one:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gri-1 ... /overview/

it is odd that lower compression would create more heat, perhaps it is more power creating more heat?

Thanks, I hadn't starting looking yet. Some friends had mentioned these as well. Less expensive than 4 row. I just have to measure it, but I think the link you sent is about the right size. Thanks again... :)

I think they have some without fill caps as well, if you want to just use the stock location.

sorry to post whore... but post pics when you get one installed. My next upgrade is probably radiator, seeing how cheap the aluminum 2 rows are, plus I believe the 1st gen G50's had a 1 row, not a 2 row stocker like yours!

I'd also be curious how a couple junk yard electric fans would do... lot of big motor LSX's race with them with zero issues. You can also set them up to cool the motor down quicker between runs. (Our stock fan is probably fine for most, but the cracking blades do bother me!) I'd hate to lose a motor to an exploding fan.

I bought a twin row CSF back a few years ago, I think originally this had a single row in it as well, but I could be mistaken, that was seven or so years ago. I'm not running the clutch fan either, I went electric fan about 5 years ago. A Black Magic single 16" I think.

Replaced the TB with another, much newer one I had laying around. It has so far cured the problem of changing it's settings and hasn't put me in limp mode in over 100 miles. I would say the issue may be solved, but I'll give it some more time. :chuckle:

After 856 miles on the rebuilt rear end, the axle popped out AGAIN... I'd already rebuilt it by the time the new c-clips got here from Japan, so I used a new one on it and so far after 108 miles, it's holding. 9 or 10 hard pulls during those 108. You can feel the difference in size and strength between the old and new clips, so if anyone ever rebuilds their rear end, I would suggest replacing the c-clip. If this issue continues, I'm going to have to look into the R230 or a Ford 9"... God! Please help... Anything but a FORD rear end! :chuckle:

Still waiting for the tuner to get down here from Tampa, dyno numbers will be posted as soon as we get it done.

My daughter knows how much I like Cartman, so she made this for QZILLA and myself... :yesnod

Is anyone running the Akebono big brake kit like the one at Z1? I want to get them, but want to hear more about them. I love the fact they come with INFINITI on them, the NISSAN lettering is an extra $250...

Cornell balancing over off six mile cypress. You don't have to breathe down their neck. Give them your specs. They have been in town a long time. I'm supercharging my 95. Building the manifold now.

I'm lost with your post... I know about Cornell, they're related to Lamonts somehow. Are you here in Fort Myers area?

Well, I'm over 2k miles on my forged build. I'm not going to say I'm "safe" yet, BUT... :thewave: Tuner should be down here in August... :shifter:

I am running short of my birthday goal, but that Akebono 14" brake kit and the Summitt racing radiator are ordered. I'll also be installing my NIB Nissan master cylinder I've been sitting on for the past 2 years. Got it off EBay for $60... :bigthumb:

nice find on the MC. I just paid $100 for a non nissan, but new, unit. From what I've read it should be better than the remanf'd crap units. What Nissan are our MC's cross listed with?

14"! Yowsers! Let me know how the radiator install goes, I'd assume easy peasy though. I'd like to replace my stocker... my '92 under the hood gets Hot, even on the highway - even if the temp gauge says its good. I can't help but think a better radiator would help with heat soak and torque.

Sijoko is overhauling her in September! Driving up to Dallas and leaving her for 3 weeks. Injectors, rear main seal, pan, + a long list. Can't wait, should run balls out when I get it back. After that I'd like to find someone to help with a rear mount :gapteeth: maybe Siju as well, but only if he is interested. He is gracious for helping out... pulling the motor/ rear main seal is beyond my current capabilities.

Very nice... What size injectors are you putting in? You should get ahold of Shane(QSIGUY) for a turbo-tune. My tune was good for right at 600 at the crank on stock injectors(running 81% duty cycle) and 15psi of boost, but I'd keep the boost around 10psi on stock pistons and rods, otherwise you will more than likely fracture pistons and bend a rod or two as I did. I think if you dyno it to 420-430rwhp it will run beautiful. More than that opens up a whole new set of issues... That should also produce around 460lbft of torque, which you will love. It'll be hard to wipe the smile from your face, I can assure you. You will also give QZILLA a sibling. :chuckle:

How much fuel pressure and what pump were you using to support 600 HP? I thought I remember reading that you had issues due to a failed rod bolt? If one were to switch out the rod bolts with rod studs, would the engine have to be re-balanced?

I was running a Bosch fuel pump. Stock FPR & damper. I didn't rebalance the engine. The difference in bolt weight seemed negligible. It ran great on 10psi, no problems. Only when I boosted to 15psi did the stock bolts break. I heard the clink, clink, clink, then boom...

I LOVE the idea of keeping it stock for the most part. Even the fuel pump should handle that. That would be enough to whip on some vettes and stangs :chuckle:

The injectors going in are refurbished phase 2's - I pulled from a junk yard Q. Deatschwerks did a great job and flow tested them - flowed with 1% variance wide open!

First things first though is to get everything in tip top shape. Siju will work his magic.

You will be pleasantly surprised doing it as above, BUT, you will probably end up catching the "sickness" as well... LOL You will end up wanting more power eventually...

On a side note; had to install a new AC compressor... These guys are awesome:

http://stores.ebay.com/2-Hot-Chicks-4-C ... 7675.l2563

$210 for the compressor, dryer, evap coil, oil and o-rings. So far works like a champ. system holding 30psi of vacuum. Had to buy 3 cans of R-134 and a total cost of $251.33. Pretty sweet in my book!

Yes, she has... Terrorizing the streets of SW Florida. :chuckle:

I installed the Aeromotive Stealth FP, to try to get some more flow, but it burned up within 250 miles, so I'm back on stock 255lph, but searching for another 300lph+ intank pump, ANYONE? The Aeromotive is a turbine style "pusher", stocks are "pullers" from my understanding, so I don't think the computer liked it too much.

I also put in a Griffin 3" radiator to help cool her down. With the CSF dual core, I wasn't able to run at high speeds, highway, too long before it would overheat. Installed the Griffin, problem solved.

A guy up the road, Kris Cromwell (FB; Cape Coral), building a SC Q, came by and took off all the emissions bs off the motor, above my pay grade. still need a blockoff plate and breather box, but I'm liking it.

I also ordered some misc parts from Infiniti; fuel injector harness, tranny harness, knock sensor harness and a box full of goodies. Parts are getting harder to find. I desperately want a new set of coil harnesses, but can't find them anywhere, not even Japan or Australia... :frown:

This week, brakes; it's sometimes dicey whether or not I'll be able to stop this beast :ohno:, so I do have a set of stock Z32 brakes and hardware, BUT... I couldn't resist... :naughty: Some pics...

Even though I had the Z32's waiting to install, I couldn't resist the temptation for the Akebono 14" kit, here it is...

My friend Frank, a mechanic, just had to install them for me once he saw the kit, so I let him... Is that wrong? :chuckle:

The kit went together perfectly, nothing to modify at all! I had to use 30mm spacers to clear the fronts until I get some rims ordered. I want to get the Super RS's, but I'm not sure yet what rims to order, hopefully they can make up a set so I can loose as much of the spacers as possible. It sure is nice having brakes for a change. :)

What do they run $ 1500? I may have to add that to the list... the '92 is in major surgery right now. Once Siju gets her back together, he's mounting something on the rear end :woot:

You'll definitely want a set of these when you do the rear mount, stopping is a wonderful thing... Around $2240 for everything, installed without a hitch or mod.
