In my opinion those are not good reasons!

Keep what you have and save your money.

Both valid reasons for looking to the G35!!! :yesnod
Had a 240sx se and it was lacking power.
The G's are ez to take care of. Also parts are fairly inexpensive compared to other imports.
The sticks have been known to have oil consumption issues. Auto's are said to be very durable and reliable.
Check all electronics in the vehicle you are looking at so that you know what additional costs might be involved.
door actuators and fuel door actuators do begin to fail after years of use.
My CD player is holding several hostage and refuses to play them.
My driver's power seat sometimes moves on it's on a bit.
There is an airbag recall that the dealership has fixed twice for free.
But, overall great cars and fun to drive!!
Good Luck!
