Does anyone know if you can put a rear wheel drive engine in a front wheel drive car?

anything is possible its just gunna take a ****load of custom fabrication. it would be a better idea to just get a new rwd car.

thats not the question he's asking

it's not as hard as you think to fit a rwd as a fwd engine or a fwd engine as a rwd engine. it just depends on the engine and the car your putting it in.

I am using a 2002 nissan maxima motor in my 240sx. for the most part aslong as the engine fits in t he engine bay with a transmission, then you solved the easy part. after that it's wiring and pluming such as fuel, coolant, ac, ps, intake, and exhaust.

it's easier for you to use a fwd engine but yes you can swap in a vq35de into your maxima. you should visit http://www.maxima.org forums and read all the info on there about that motor swap
