Hey all

I have been searching and what not for info on the Q45 rear end...

Some places I have read said that some Q45s have the R230.
Other places I have read said that its a R200 with 6bolt flanges like the z32tt r230 but otherwise not a complete R230.

What is the deal or truth to this?

Also, does anyone have the full dimensions of the q45 subframe? Ear to ear mounting points?

The Q45 has a R200 diff. The 200 just means it's a 200mm ring gear. It does indeed have the 6 equally spaced flanges.

They typically refer to the Q diff as the R200 "short nose", however comparing them side by side they're very similar to the Z32 twin turbo diff, despite having the smaller ring gear.

So just to confirm, the following link is incorrect?

If you're saying in regards to the later Q's have R230's, then yes that's incorrect. You can look in the FSM at www.infinitiservicemanual.com for yourself, but you'll see that at least all 97-01 got the R200V. In 97-01, they used the 5-bolt flanges (basically the same as the Z32 n/a) with 3.69 ratio...
