thanks dude. have u gotten this or other products from them before? do u think this is genuine stuff? by my calculations if i get everything from them; the brake upgrade kit, rear hawk pads(240sx) and rear rotors(240sx) it should come out cheaper than going to different spots. now lets just see how much shipping will be.

I have personally not gotten anything from there before, but I am planning on purchasing that brake kit soon.

FRSport is a sponsor and they are also on eBay too. Their reps are posting here on NICO. All of them are nice and they will help you with anything.

so does anyone think about $500 is too much to pay for q45 calipers, rotors, pads, hardware, rear stock rotors and pads?

I agree with adrian. You should check junkyard, eBay and forum classifieds first. If you can't get any good deal and okay with a new set, then go for it.

Hard to say if the product you are shipped is genuine, but the pictures appear to be genuine OEM equipment for the Q. And if they are a sponsor I would trust their site enough to make a purchase.

Yes, I paid far less than that for that same list of components from rockauto.com, all new or rebuilt.

Go to a junkyard, get some nasty Q45 calipers for cheap and use them to take care of the core charge for rebuilt calipers.

You can just use junkyard stuff if you want, but I'd rather have the piece of mind of having new brake components.

you will get better braking with z32 brakes.

if they claim to be selling genuine oem stuff, that's exatly what it will be. i got genuine nissan r33 e-brake cables through frsport. zero complaints from me.

I've heard its negligable... but Q45 calipers clear ANY wheel set up

Q45 Front Brakes

Q45 brakes are a cheaper still upgrade to the brakes of your 240sx. They don't have the Nissan logo on the calipers. They are dual piston calipers that, compared to stock, provide about 25% more clamping force with a larger rotor and ~40% more pad surface area. They also have the pistons on the inside of the caliper so the wheel clearance is almost the same as with stock brakes, allowing the ability to continue running many different-sized wheels. Pads have many options as with all the other brake options we have here. The lines are the same fittings as stock so you can reuse your stock lines to save even more money.

You will need the following parts to make the Infiniti Q45 front brakes work on your 240sx.

Calipers

You will need a set of calipers from a 90-96 Infiniti Q45. These calipers are larger than the stock 240sx calipers. They use two 42.8 mm pistons instead of one 54mm piston to increase clamping force. These calipers will bolt onto the stock location as well as use the stock banjo brake lines.

I got my setup for $30 (calipars and rotors) just waiting on it to get a bit hotter to do my 5 lug swap. No nissan logo on the q45's but I dont care.

it clears teardrops just make sure your not using inside weights on the wheels to balance them, because they will hit the caliper and then your tires will be out of balance... first hand experience

q45, j30, altima, and z32 brakes use the same diameter brake disc. The q45 calipers are just slightly larger than the j30's.

You're kidding right? Whats harder to find? Wheel selection, brake options, performance gains. All of this is opened up by having five lug leave the 4 lug to the hondas man.
