Protective Key Case

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Not sure if there's already a thread on this but I taught I'd shared with you...

I bought on ebay a silicone protective case for my car key.

It protects the key from wear and scratches... even protects it from water.

Only bad thing about it... it won't fit into the key slot in the dash but I always keep the key in my pockets...

Nice.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually like the lanyard better. I say that because it would make it harder for me to lose the key, which is $$$ to replace :squint: .

I agree!

The lanyard will definitely prevent from losing your key! Never lost mine since... :P

The finish on my buttons has started to get scratched off. I have put a thin layer of super glue over the scratched parts and that seems to protect it until it gets worn off. The key cases I normally see in the dealership have hole openings for the buttons, so I think I like the one posted above better, but I worry that it would make it slightly larger and also that the silicone would be sticky in my pocket and hard to get in and out.

It's not that sticky... I love mine. The Dealer even asked me where I got it...

Got to love ebay for that...
