If you have a different vehicle that you are interested in getting a grounding kit for, please contact me and we can work something out.

These kits are designed with Quality and Performance in mind.
  • Thick 4 gauge wire for maximum signal performance
  • Tinned 99.9% OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) wire to minimize corrosion and maximize longevity
  • Heavy Duty Copper Lugs- Gold plated terminals are just for looks and can suffer from a "skin effect" meaning only the plating carries current (Why have heavy wire and tiny conducting terminals?)
  • Heat shrink terminals for a finished look
  • Logo Free Wires mean less conspicuous "stealth" kits and flashier "show" kits.
SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER PRICES

You be the judge:

Image

Kit Features-
  • 4 gauge Copper wire
  • Heavy Duty Copper Terminals
  • All necessary replacement hardware
  • Detailed instructions with COLOR pictures
  • Very little modification to fit
  • Fits under engine cover Stealth or Show options available
These kits are very similar to GroundingGear's in quality, but not the same in design. Even the Basic kit is more functional than the Stillen kit in that it incorporates connections to the ECU & TCM (VQ 5AT), and also uses larger wires and better terminals.

These kits are far more functional than Active Tuning or Stillen's kits. Contact me for details.

Thanks!

To be completely honest, I haven't done any real tests. I know that sounds lame, but I finished the install on Saturday morning before going cherry picking.

I had my in-laws in the car with me on the drive out there and I didn't want to scare them. Plus they wouldn't shut up about how to get there...that's for another thread.

Sunday was Father's day down here and I didn't drive much. I'll have to fill up tonight and do some testing. I also want to make one more wire that I missed for a total of 9.

Make if official?

If I get some actual orders, I can make the kits in quite a few different colors. The more who are interested, means I buy the supplies in bulk and can pass on savings.

Also, not sure if it was the grounding kit or not, but I had one of the most exhilarating drives to the optometrist. The car pulled and pulled and pulled

Sorry, I meant if you do decide to do some before and after dyno testing to make the performance results official But eitherway, nice post, good luck moving them...

I still haven't linked to my tranny or tcu/ecu... because I so lazy/busy.

How much for the stillen* upgrade sets? red 4 gauge?

Dyno results might be possible. I'm getting a new engine next week, so I'd have to wait until probably next month once the break in period is over before I did a before and after dyno on the wires.

I don't have the capital to do it, but it would be interesting to rent out the dyno for a few hours and break down the gains from each wire. But that's why my kits are better priced than the competition. Small overhead = lower priced products lol.

The ECU/TCU isn't that hard to get to. It took me a little over an hour to get to the ECU, but I was taking breaks and also had to figure out how to get in there myself and how to route the wiring. Glove box takes 5-10 mins to remove. Battery cover, windshield cover, and the hole in the ECU boot would probably take 15 mins. The whole job in less than an hour.

Stillen upgrade kits are $55. If you want the kit to be the same gauge wire as the Stillen, then it might be a little less, but $55 for the 4 gauge.

Okay, first off, it was completely worth it. I never would have thought that a box of wire would make such a big difference in my car.

Get home from work, and there is a package on the table. I opened it, and there was the whole grounding kit, with extremely detailed instructions.

Installation was simple if you follow the directions.

So after installation...

First thing that I notice when I tuirn on the car, is that the stereo is a lot louder. I always turn it down low, so as to not wake my wife in the morning. Volume was on 4, but it was kinda loud.

Next thing that I noticed was that I hit the rev limiter. My car usually doesn't accelerate quick enough for that to happen. I did it quite a few times.

Next thing I noticed was that the shifts are a little quicker, and it "hits" harder when I shift.

Idles smoother, and revvs up a little faster.

All in all, this is probably one of the more noticable mods that I have done. It is completely worth the money for this kit.

Nate uses a really nice wire, all copper terminals, and heat shrinked at the connections. Quality work.

Dumb question but do you have to use the one that connects into the ECU?

I'm really considering getting these but I really don't want to have to drill into the ECU or anything like that. I've only ever pulled the ECU out once and that was an effort and a half, do not really want to do it again.

The table is true. Stillen's instructions were horrid. Also no gains were noticed from stillen's kit. Just glad I got the stillen kit for free. I will probably get the upgrade in the near future.

I personally think the ECU and Transmission wires are two of the most important ones.

Running the wire to the ECU is fairly simple. You just have to remove a couple of plastic covers under the hood and cut a small hole in a rubber boot.

Feed the wire down and attach the terminal to a bolt holding the ECU in place. With my directions, the ECU portion shouldn't take more than 20 mins. Probably less if you're familiar with how to get to the ECU.

I think Greg (?) pointed out that there's a simpler way to get to the ECU. You can check his thread on the Supercharger install to see how he does it. I wanted it to be as painless as possible, so there might be more steps, but you won't be on your back with your legs hanging over the seat.

BTW, the Wires will probably be going on a little sale for the Summer.

I can give you a deal on Matte Gunmetal. Email me.

Glossy Charcoal and Red are also an options.

Could even do the charcoal and red together. Like every other wire.

If you have a specific color in mind, let me know and I'll see what I can do. I'm picky about what kind and quality of wire goes in here and I also don't like having to bump up the price in order to get a color, but I'll work with my G buddies as much as possible.

I'm working with Adidas to measure out and test an A/C kit.

There will probably be 2-3 options depending on how the testing goes.

After that, I'll price them.

I'm emailing you...

Yes, the difference between the coupe and sedan fitment was negligible (sp?). The basic kit can fit all sedans with the VQ35DE (single throttle).

Just wondering, do you know how complex the installation is for the '08 Altima?i.e. do you have to remove the engine cover??

The Altima kit requires removal of the engine cover (4 screws) and part of the intake system (2 screws, a hose clamp, and a couple of plastic pop rivets). It's relatively easy to install.

Well I installed the kit today, Overkill for 2005 5AT, the instructions were very good (My ECU area looked very different from the one in your picture I had to install the cable lower so it would clear the glove box) The kit was very high quality and I recieved it as expected. I'm very surprised at the change in my G, it's much smoother now, particularly in manual mode, shift happen the moment I up shift or down shift without the usual delay.
