Alright guys,

I just got off the phone after a lengthy conversation with Powertrix. They are 100% on board with making an entire line (R/T, UL and SS) of coilovers for the G50, but I need some information.

From the guys who have put Z32 coilovers on:

-What needed to be done to fit the Z32 coilovers on the Q? As far as I've read, you can use the stock upper mount in the rear and you use S13/S14 top hats for the front, but you have to slot/drill the tower mounts.

-Do the lower mounts bolt right up?

Yes, I searched all this, but I would like to VERIFY the info so I can provide them with the best information possible.

Please provide the year and trim your experience deals with. I'm trying to help everyone out. They are willing to do a Entry Group Buy once we get everything straightened away with fitment and testing.

Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure so I don't want to risk answering with the wrong information but I sure hope someone can give you an answer soon so the ball can get rolling on this. Lack of an affordable suspension solution is the only reason I'm not obsessing over maintenance like I used to.
Someone help this guy out!

I got a reply from a guy on the Facebook page for G50 owners. Some good info. I forwarded it to the guys at Powertrix and we'll see how it goes.

What will this do... Lower the ride?

(I'm new, sue me!)

It does allow you to lower, but it's more than that. It's an all around handling upgrade. Allows the car to be lower, or lifted a touch in some cases.

Doing coilovers is NOT just a lowering. I did it to my Y33 and it makes it into a brand new car. The entire suspension is replaced with a far more stout and adjustable system. It replaces all parts of the suspension and allows you to adjust the height, stiffness and camber.

If you do not mind a stiff ride, this is actually cheaper than chasing shocks and springs that are now only available from Infiniti with no more aftermarket options available.

Coilovers already exist for the G50 - so don't waste your time. Plus these are high quality (at least from what I've heard)

Well I dont know about anyone else but I'd like an option for some halfway decent coilovers and not have to spend $900. Just saying

I've recently installed BC Racing coilovers on my F50. And I could NOT be happier. $1,300 b ut well worth it, as with any other brand you have to go thru the hassle of chopping up the OEM struts and welding the spindle onto a coilover. No time for all that.

The BC Racing BR Series coilover feels like an extremely high quality product.

All the best,

Market is tough for coilovers, I know this because I use to make them specifically for the G50 ranging from my B1 series (OE performance -$750) to BMR series (track performance-$2750) and stopped June of this year, a lot of people use R32 GTR coil overs in their G50 or go the cheaper route with Z32 coil overs so its just easier to sell conversion kits for R32 and Z32 coilovers to fit the G50.

R32 coilovers are superior over the Z32 in the G50
