power steering - 2009 G37x sedan

Car purchased 4.5 years ago
Power steering is non responsive on an 09 G37x sedan with 30000 miles / 48000 km. The dealer informed us that the metallic propeller in the pump broke and there are metal shavings in the system.

The power steering pump and rack need to be replaced. I was quoted $2500 Infiniti parts in Canada.

Are you aware of any deals where parts would be cheaper ?
Are you guys aware on any recalls ?
How long is the power train warranty on our vehicles?

I think the power train warranty is 5/100k...but check Infiniti's website to confirm. No recalls on the PS system.
